Worship in the Woods - Church picnic
In late June/early July we hold our church picnic AND worship service at 10 a.m. at Maple Ridge park (corner of 232 St. and Fern Crescent).
Not only do we picnic in the park, we also WORSHIP in the park; we do not offer worship in the church sanctuary on that day.
We take our lawn chairs and sit them on the grass in the park and we sing, accompanied with guitars, we listen to scripture and celebrate Holy Communion.
We use a stump in the park as our altar!
And then we eat!
FOOD IS POTLUCK!
