Evangelical Lutheran Women
Evangelical Lutheran Women (ELW) is a ministry provided by women for the support of the St. Paul’s and the church at large. St. Paul’s ELW meets twice per month:
St. Paul’s ELW supports a variety of missions through their Grace Offerings: BC Synod, Canadian Lutheran World Relief, On Eagles Wings, Lutheran Association of Missionary Pilots, Chamanculo in Peru, Lutheran Urban Mission Society, Surrey Urban Mission Society, Wish Drop-in Centre and St. Paul’s itself.
The ELW contributes to events at St. Paul’s: Thanksgiving Lunch, Spring/Fall clean up lunches, Mother/Daughter banquet and Father’s Day lunch. In partnership with other committees, the ELW contributes to the Shrove Tuesday Pancake dinner, Stewardship dinner in November and the Annual General Meeting.
The ELW collects and bundles items for international relief: pneumonia vests, baby bundles, hygiene kits, sewing kits and learning kits.
There is always room for more participants in the wonderful ministry of the ELW.
For more information, please email St. Paul’s at [email protected], or call 604-467-4343.
