Street Ministry

One Friday evening a month, our street ministry team gathers in the downtown core of Maple Ridge, at Memorial Peace Park. We partner with Salvation Army; staffing their soup truck which carries a large supply of soup, coffee and hot chocolate.
To this, St. Paul’s adds an abundance of sandwiches and home-baking. The sandwiches are graciously supplied by a local business, The Bread and Buns Factory.
In addition to the food, we spread out a tarp and roof shelter and provide a variety of used clothing. From the back of an SUV owned by one of our team, we hand out a large variety of toiletries.!
Oh yes, the Pastor gets to hand out bananas!
During the season of Advent, we adorn a “Jesse Tree” with donations of gloves, toques, socks etc. which are then shared throughout the year at the street ministry.
