Shrove Tuesday Pancake dinner
The day prior to Lent is called Shrove Tuesday, or “Fat Tuesday.”
This traditionally was the day in which Christians used up the “fat products” in their kitchens, notably eggs, butter, milk, etc. In recent tradition, Christians have marked this day with pancake suppers.
We gather at 6 p.m. on this evening, for a congregational pancake supper. After supper we will have a little “craft time.”
We also have a piñata for the children to break open and they can all share in the candy!
