CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a program for youth aged 13 & 14, designed to help them explore their faith in a deeper sense. Specifically, Confirmation students take a closer look at their baptisms, the meaning behind their baptisms and the implications of Baptism for their faith lives.
Over a 2 year period, Confirmation students study topics such as:
Worship
The Lord’s Prayer The Apostles’ Creed
The Ten Commandments The Sacrament of Holy Baptism
The Sacrament of Holy Communion
About twice per year, the Confirmation students go out on field trips to enhance the experience of their Christian faith. Such field trips occur at food banks, thrift stores, hospitals, funeral homes and street ministries.
At the end of the 2 year curriculum, Confirmation students stand before the congregation of St.. Paul’s to give voice to their faith, to further commit themselves to their Christian faith journey by Affirming or saying “yes” to their Baptism.
Confirmation Classes are held every Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
